The Centre is open seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Persons with mobility impairments and those in wheelchairs can easily move around on the premises.
Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
The Craft Centre is comprised of individual booths owned by friendly locals from the island, such as Carmen Dames, Cleole Hanna, and Corwell Bain, who have been in the business for over 25 years. Visitors always look for Carmen when they arrive and expect to purchase a fresh loaf of Bimini bread from her, accompanied by a smile. Cleole aka 'Gatorade' is in booth #2. She enlightens customers about the sites and sounds of Bimini as she does embroidery designs on her straw bags. Repeat visitors to the Centre remember Cowell, because she is extremely helpful and always makes them laugh. They come back looking for her, because she makes them feel more than welcome to the island.
