Blackbeard's Bay

Beach, Caves, Cayes, and Islands

Located on the western coast of mainland Ragged Island, Blackbeard's Bay (also known as Round Bay) and nearby Blackbeard's Well signify that the infamous pirate Edward "Blackbeard" Teach may have established his headquarters in the area. The adjacent hill, which overlooks nearly the entire island, would have given him the perfect vantage point, according to locals, to scout out prospective ships to claim their bounty. Plus, its harbor provided shelter and he could stock his loot in nearby caves.

Today, it's considered one of the top ten beaches in the Ragged Island chain.
