Farmers' Market
The Farmers Market was reopened in 2013, and its objective is to assist local farmers and artisans with selling their produce and handicraft as a way of providing for their families.
The market is open Saturdays 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
Produce and Crafts Highlights
Produce includes pumpkins, limes, sweet peppers, bananas, cabbage, tomatoes, hot peppers, sugar apples, avocados, sapodilla, tamarind, watermelons, pineapples, and various other fruits during their season.
You'll also find homemade jams, pumpkin rolls, sheep tongue souse, organic eggs, guava duff, bread, Bahamian bush teas, bottled tomatoes, and a variety of native plants on sale for gardening or growing your own fruit/vegetables.
Handicrafts are also on display: paintings, jewelry, postcards, frames, and gift boxes.
