Great Inagua Outback Lodge
Located approximately 15 miles east of Matthew Town on the southern coast of the island.
The lodge is powered by sun and wind with fans for those who prefer to go without air conditioning; there is a diesel generator for supplementary power. Water is supplied by a 1500-gallon cistern.
Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
Mr. Hugh, a native of Inagua, always dreamed about retiring from his job at the telecommunications company, BATELCO, to relax in his own quiet island paradise, far from the daily routine of the island's only settlement, Matthew Town.
Lodge or Resort Description
The lodge is located along a nice remote beach, more than 15 miles from Matthew Town, and within short distance of good flats fishing. It can accommodate up to six guests in two beachfront cottages. There is a bar and dining room onsite, where drinks and meals are served accompanied by the sound of waves lapping along the nearby beach.
You will be amazed at the celestial display in the sky on a clear night, with no city lights to detract from its magnificence.
