Greenwich Creek Lodge
Accessibility Notes
There is wheelchair access to the lobby, dining, and kitchen areas only, via a ramp on the right side of the building downstairs.
Driving Directions
Greenwich Creek Lodge is a 10-minute drive from the Deadman's Cay Airport, heading south. Once, you arrive in Cartwright's, turn right from Queen's Highway onto a dirt road leading to the property, known as Greenwich Road.
If notified in advance, the lodge will pick up guests from the airport, or arrange a rental vehicle for pickup at the airport, with directions to the lodge.
Eco-Friendly Notes
We use rain water at the lodge and encourage guests to limit the use of water; and also to turn off all lights, air conditioners, and fans when they leave their rooms. Air conditioners are used in the bedrooms only. We are a NO SMOKING facility. This is also a "catch and release" facility, which means any fish caught must be put back into the sea.
Our lodge is designed for visitors whose ideal vacation is focused around fishing. We cater to couples, families, and the solo traveler. We are located on the saline, overlooking beautiful bone-fishing flats, in the quaint settlement of Cartwright's, Long Island. It is located on a private side road and has a very relaxing and calming atmosphere. The garden has a lot of natural vegetation, including wild tamarind, buttonwood and mangroves.
Locally or Family-Owned Business Notes
Mr. Andre Cartwright loved fishing and dreamed of having a place in Long Island, where other fishing enthusiasts like himself could stay and fish on their visits to the island. In 2000, that dream became a reality and Greenwich Creek Lodge was opened to the general public. Wanting to carry on his dream and keep the property in the family, his brother Mario Cartwright took over operations in 2013, and has opened it to all anglers, as well as any traveler who is looking to retreat, reflect and relax.
