*Cancelled due to Covid-19

The Long Island Regatta is celebrated every year, during the Bahamas Labour Day holiday weekend in June, lasting for up to three days. It is held at the Regatta Site in the Salt Pond settlement, and brings together families, friends, and visitors from all over The Bahamas and the world.

It is the second largest sailboat competition in The Bahamas, and features Class A, Class B, and Class C boats (all made in The Bahamas); a competitive triathlon (swimming, cycling, and rowing the boat); artisans displaying their handmade crafts, jewelry, and straw goods; plus a number of Bahamian dishes are served: peas and rice, baked/barbeque chicken, pork, fish, conch, shrimp and lobster fritters, conch salad, as well as coconut cakes, coconut water, etc.
