Raccoon Cay was used as a farmland in previous years by Ragged Islanders because the mainland is rocky and said to be barren. However, that myth was proved untrue thanks to the introduction of backyard farming by Myron Lockhart-Bain.
The cay is accessible by boat only. The journey and the island's terrain might not be suitable for persons with mobility impairments.
