Runaway Hill Inn
Runaway Hill Inn, formerly called Runaway Hill Club, is a boutique hotel perched on a bluff overlooking the calm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It has been a fixture on Harbour Island for decades.
The property winds along a hilltop at the corner of Love and Colebrook Streets and sits on 10 acres of lush grounds overlooking the world-famous pink sand beach. Eleven rooms are available at Runaway Hill Inn: the Main House with five rooms, which was an estate home built in the 1940s by a gentleman from Long Island, New York, named McElroy; the Courtyard with three rooms; the Villas offering two rooms; and an Owner's Cottage. The Infinity House, a magnificent well-appointed beachfront home, is located on the adjacent street to the Inn and offers four bedrooms.
To get to the property from the Government Dock, continue up Church Street then take the first right and first left onto Love Lane and you will see the Runaway Hill sign.
The property is wheelchair friendly with a slight hill.
Runaway Hill Inn is the only property on Harbour Island that can provide guests with the charm, privacy, and casual estate-like setting for the ultimate Harbour Island destination wedding or special event. Hosting family or friends on the entire property offers a private, unique opportunity to intimately share a memorable experience.
The Main Dining Room and The Lobby Bar, adjacent to the dining room, offer the perfect ambiance to relax and enjoy oceanfront dining. Happy Hour with a Tapas Menu is offered on Monday 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday in the Bar.
