St. Bartholomew Anglican Church
St. Bartholomew Anglican Church “By The Sea,” established June 8, 1850, was the first church on mainland Bullock’s Harbour and is still in use. The building also housed the first educational institution in The Berry Islands. It was the center of the town's activities from the beginning, and is still being used for community and social events today.
The church's nickname (By the Sea) was given to it by Mission Priest Fr. Samuel Stirrup during his tenure in the late 1990’s. It was brought back to its original glory in 2009 by its first Rector, the Late Fr. Thaddeus Pratt (2000-2010). It sits next to the Government Dock and Bishop's Landing is located on the landing rocks at its western side.
The church has wheelchair access.
