Stocking Island Beacon
Stocking Island is made up of giant sand dunes hardened into limestone rock. On one such sand dune, which stands over one hundred feet in height, is a beacon used many years ago for navigational purposes. The beacon is a popular attraction for yachters docked in Elizabeth Harbour and hikers who visit Stocking Island. It can be seen clearly from mainland George Town.
This site might not be suitable for persons with mobility impairments or in wheelchairs due to the hilly/rocky terrain.
