The Rainbow Cliffs

Ocean Shoreline Features
Bahamas Ministry of Tourism

These cliffs, situated between James Cistern and Rainbow Bay, are a must see. This rugged area of the island rises abruptly out of the Atlantic Ocean and is a fascinating heritage site. There are several adventures to be had here, including climbing to the highest point on the cliffs and jumping off into the water, if you are brave.

From the vantage point at the top, you can see up and down the shoreline of the Atlantic coast. Known to be one of the best sites in Eleuthera to get an adrenaline rush, the trick is to find someone who has done it before, so they can advise you about the best location to jump from.

Getting to the sea level takes a bit of maneuvering, but it is possible. The water in the "pool" is usually crystal clear and warm like a Jacuzzi. It is a great place to relax for awhile.
